Growing a Program, Socially

Agribusiness leader Syngenta partnered with G&S to increase traffic to the GreenTrust 365 website and raise awareness of its new multipaks offering. To meet the Syngenta sales goal of selling 375 multipaks, G&S developed Google pay-per-click (PPC) and Facebook-promoted content campaigns to reach ornamental growers. In preparation for the two-month PPC campaign, our team established search terms relevant to the industry. To improve reach, mid-way through the campaign the terms were refined to match those which were more widely searched by the target audience. Two Facebook posts were developed, both using photos of people rather than crops to boost engagement. With 982 website sessions, 67% new users and a 1.87% click-through rate on Google, the campaign helped Syngenta reach and exceed their sales goal by 61%.

A Twitter Takeoff

When it comes to building a strong following on Twitter, quality and quantity matter. Knowing this, G&S identified an opportunity for the Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) to support and grow its new Twitter handle through paid social. In an effort to reach the right audiences, G&S oversaw the launch of the paid campaign before, during and after an industry tradeshow attended by more than 46,000 packaging professionals. Targeting the tradeshow’s Twitter handle, hashtags used during the tradeshow and key trade media resulted in 234 new FPA Twitter followers, a 167% increase.
