Preparing for Panama Canal Expansion
To build relationships and encourage influential reporters to visit the PortMiami and Florida East Coast (FEC) Railway, G&S identified compelling business issues and presented a robust pitch about the regional impact of the Panama Canal expansion. During a two-day event, reporters were fully immersed in the experience, riding FEC’s vintage train cars and viewing the port’s harbor aboard a pilot boat. Thanks to these efforts, we secured a cover story with the Journal of Commerce, highly regarded by the shipping industry as the “final word” on port logistics, and the industry’s eyes were opened to PortMiami’s potential for increased cargo business.
Intertek Aces Test with Trades
When Intertek, a third-party testing and certification company with 125+ years of experience, needed to compete more aggressively against a well-recognized brand, it collaborated with G&S to raise visibility. We shaped and carried out a robust PR program with media relations and thought leadership elements to reach Intertek customers in key categories: electric vehicles, information and communications technology, lighting, medical devices, solar power and wind energy. In the first six months, the G&S team secured more than 40 multimedia placements in vertical media outlets, including a series of video interviews for EngineeringTV, blogs for Solar Novus Today, a radio interview for Science News Radio and a byline article for Today’s Medical Developments.
