Company Pride Takes Flight
To promote the U.S. maiden voyage of the Solar Impulse solar-powered airplane and create high-level visibility for its sponsor Schindler Elevator Corporation, G&S oversaw takeoff and landing events in six cities along the flight route from New York to San Francisco. The events drew over 1,000 attendees within a four-month period. While providing media and message training, as well as speech writing, we obtained more than 800 million impressions in North American trade and consumer media coverage and built excitement along the way. We also produced programs for both customers and employees in three cities, inspiring pride within the company for its support of sustainable urban development with safe, reliable and ecologically sound mobility solutions.
Recipe for Success
With the resurgence in induction cooking, Miele, a German luxury appliance manufacturer, turned to G&S to roll out its on-trend product line for American consumers. To build relationships with influential bloggers and lifestyle and technology reporters, our program activation team staged regional events at Miele’s 12 Experience Centers around the country. Blog writers and journalists were treated to cooking demonstrations and classes, which showcased the appliances’ exceptional features and product benefits during actual meal preparation. G&S also partnered with bloggers to host meet-and-greets with fans in local Miele showrooms, allowing consumers to experience the products first-hand. Buzz from each onsite gathering was amplified with social media coverage on Facebook Live, Instagram and Twitter.
Xuber, an established London-based commercial insurance software provider, partnered with G&S to stage a successful comeback in America. G&S developed an ambitious trade media campaign in which the catch phrase “Breaking Bold” underscored all messaging and even played into the company’s colorful visuals and booth design at multiple tradeshows. We planned the launch day followed by a three-day, three-city media tour to introduce Xuber to top-tier insurance technology publications. The results? $8 million in pipeline opportunities originating from tradeshow appearances.
