Senior Account Executive (Chicago)

G&S is looking for a Senior Account Executive to join the Chicago team and be responsible for day-to-day client account activities such as:

  • Securing media placements and actively pitching media
  • Understanding clients’ top-tier media
  • Monitoring media outlets for coverage of client news and competitor developments
  • Content development for various mediums including traditional, digital and social media, as well as creative services
  • Familiarity with social media channels and content
  • Researching industry or program-relevant topics
  • Providing regular proactive updates to supervisors on projects and responsibilities

Accout Executive (Chicago)

G&S is looking for an Account Executive to join the Chicago team and be responsible for day-to-day client account activities such as:

  • Drafting a range of written materials, including byline articles, case studies, news releases, blog posts, etc., based on direction from supervisors

Client Service Manager (Chicago)

G&S is looking for an outstanding Client Service Manager responsible for client counsel, overall account management and execution of corporate communications programs.

Key responsibilities:

    • Lead strategy development and implementation of business communication programs for food and beverage accounts
    • Provide senior counsel for accounts, including serving as primary liaison for client contacts
    • Participate, as appropriate, as an active, engaged staff member in agency management activities supporting day-to-day management of agency as well as long-term strategic planning
    • Lead, manage and develop staff
    • Manage and grow client relationships
    • Write strategic programs and range of other marketing / public relations materials, as well as overseeing writing quality and editing of materials developed by team members

Creative

These positions deliver creative solutions to account teams and clients.

Production Artist (Raleigh)

G&S Business Communications is seeking a talented and proficient production artist to work within their dynamic creative services department.You are a detail junkie, an expert user of Adobe Creative Cloud’s design applications (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop), have a good sense of visual design, and have an intimate knowledge of mechanical file production and all pre-press best practices. It is second nature to take an art directors’ design mock-ups and translate them into multiple formats for mechanical print ready files.

You take great pride in being the guardian of quality artwork production with no detail being too small. You are a dedicated, collaborative team player who loves the process of working alongside designers, art-directors, project managers and print producers to ensure print delivery deadlines are met.

This role requires an experienced production artist to work within the creative department to build all mechanical files for print production. This requires organization, time management and a detailed knowledge of the print production process. You will also on occasion produce finished files for digital deployment so an understanding of basic digital file preparation is required.

The applicant must have an understanding of design principles through the consistent use of grids, color, typography and information hierarchy. You will also have a strong ability to understand and utilize multiple brand guidelines documents simultaneously. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented self-starter who is excited to work across a variety of the agency’s clients.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

Art Director (Raleigh)

G&S is looking for a creative individual who is passionate, dedicated and forward thinking to join our Creative Team. You are a seasoned professional, able to quickly understand client industries and recognize how to move their needle. You will manage several key client accounts while overseeing your own team of designers. You are a champion of ideas, crafting inspired briefs and leading brainstorming sessions. You nurture the team’s talent through a culture of openness, relentless curiosity and ensuring the creative output is always paramount. You are exceptionally organized, have a high appreciation for process and a noticeably considered disposition. Your role requires the ability to nimbly switch gears between heavily guideline driven, quick turn-around work to longer-term highly conceptual projects, often jumping between them several times a day. This is the ying and yang nature of the work, our department and the wider agency – it’s an exceptionally dynamic environment and definitely not for the faint hearted. For the successful candidate though the rewards are plentiful. This role reports to the Vice President of Creative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead clients and internal teams through the creative process, from initial client engagement (writing proposals and giving client presentations) through final delivery.

These positions serve as internal resources to account teams and clients.

Digital Specialist, Developer (Raleigh)

We are seeking a developer with approximately two to three years of experience. This team player needs to be able to take design concepts to final production, develop functionality, build and support web properties, mobile applications and other digital components.

 Job functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Strong portfolio showing examples of desktop and mobile websites
  • Proven knowledge of development principles, design specifications and standards. Ability to develop and execute  HTML, CSS and JavaScript, including writing clear, clean, and concise code, optimizing images and configuring page loads to reduce download time
  • Experience with API integration including marketing automation software and CRM integration
  • Proficient with languages such as HTML5, CSS, JQuery and JavaScript. Knowledge of .NET, .ASPX and PHP a plus
  • Understand coding best practices for analytics and event tracking implementation
  • Experience building sites within content management systems including WordPress
  • Understand corporate website production requirements, responsive design and frameworks, and complex web applications

Digital Project Manager (Chicago)

Working with our in-house Digital Team, we’re looking for a Project Manager to be responsible for keeping projects on time and on task.

Responsibilites include:

  • Overseeing and managing the workflow of all projects.
  • Defining project milestones to properly oversee projects as they progress.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless completion of campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
  • Opening all new projects using project management software, acquiring needed resources.
  • Monitoring hours spent, comparing actual vs. budget, and updates managers and appropriate team members when projects are trending over budget.
  • Revising schedules and publishing a daily production status report to advise all teams of schedules and job status, ordering based on priority.
  • Obtaining and reviewing estimates from vendors when necessary.
  • Maintaining and developing strong internal and external relationships

Skills/Qualifications:

Marketing Technology Specialist (Chicago or New York)

We are seeking a Marketing Specialist with approximately 1-2 years of experience. This team player needs to be able to collaborate with our clients’ marketing groups to help lead seamless migration of marketing automation instances. Working with marketing groups across the business unit to ensure consistent, on-time campaigns they will also help ensure integration with Salesforce.

Job functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Supporting marketing teams in their campaign efforts: setting up campaigns, creating reports and troubleshooting
  • Enforcing configuration and naming standards for campaigns, assets and programs
  • Supporting our marketing automation system by maintaining a clean database and lead generation routing and operations processes
  • Reviewing and recommending standard pipeline reporting procedures and metrics
