Director of Media Relations (New York)

The Media Relations Director leads the agency’s national and business media relations practice and is responsible for growing the agency’s overall media relations competency. S/he serves as a strategic consultant to the agency account teams and its vast array of clients, providing best practices, training and guidance on how to work effectively with all types of media.

S/he is a creative storyteller who collaborates with account teams located across the agency to identify newsworthy topics, develop strategic media plans that yield results and pitch national business media. In addition to spearheading media relations outreach, s/he coaches teams on how to effectively pitch business, national and local media, including broadcast, online, print and bloggers. Depending on the account need and structure, this person may also be embedded on a specific account team to assist with regular national and business media pitching efforts.

Duties:

  • Assume a highly visible leadership role in the agency; lead G&S’ top-tier media relations efforts
  • Generate broadcast, online and print placements across G&S’ account base
  • Develop results-driven strategic media relations plans and measurement programs
  • Develop and execute media tours, deskside briefings, salon dinners, and other media-facing initiatives
  • Oversee media training service offerings, conduct media training sessions and inform the direction of G&S’ media training capabilities across the agency
  • Grow existing accounts and projects, in support of organic growth efforts
  • Serve as counselor to designated clients
  • Empower and mentor account teams to create and execute results-driven media strategies; coach teams on how to pitch media
  • Meet regularly with account leads to better understand their business and media relations support needs
  • Grow G&S’ media relations practice
  • Stay current on news and PR trends in the industry; lead agency’s media relations education and learning initiatives; share best-practices and trends across agency

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of media landscape and digital tools

Account Supervisor (New York)

We’re looking for an Account Supervisor to be responsible for the day- to-day client operations including planning/strategy, media relations, content development, social media content and management, client and team management and collaboration with creative and digital team members.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage day- to- day account work while driving consistent results
  • Edit content – messaging and positioning/talking points, news releases, articles, social content, collateral, infographics, e-mails, presentations, etc.

Senior Account Executive (New York)

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for day-to-day client contact and the implementation of integrated media and public relations program activities.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a keen understanding of distinct B2B and B2C audiences and the ability to develop appropriate digital, social and traditional business communication programs that speak to these audiences
  • Proactively generate new story ideas and opportunities that support client business objectives
  • Develop and maintain consumer and business media relationships with influential members of the press in order to ensure feature placements

Art Director (Raleigh)

You will manage several key client accounts while overseeing your own team of designers. You are a champion of ideas, crafting inspired briefs and leading brainstorming sessions. Senior Graphic Designer (Raleigh)

Videographer (Raleigh)

The role is responsible for capturing visual content and editing videos for multiple platform and will:

  • Develop visual assets for a variety of clients and in support of G&S Business Communications.
  • Capture quality visual content, edit and deliver visual assets in a variety of outputs for use in marketing campaigns, as brand content, and as technical support for products and services.
  • Work cooperatively with Director of Media, Creative Director, Art Directors and Accounts to generate creative content for projects.
  • Collaborates with Account, Digital and Creative teams to create relevant deliverables.
  • Some travel required to gather raw video and photography assets.
  • Shoots video and still photos to illustrate stories.

Project Manager (New York)

We are looking for a Project Manager in NYC with experience working in an agency setting.

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Overseeing and managing the workflow of communication campaigns.
  • Working with account managers to develop cost estimates for client campaigns, and completing appropriate program authorizations.
  • Defining project milestones to properly oversee creative projects as they progress.
  • Coordinating with traffic managers and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless completion of campaigns across a range of creative and digital platforms.

Senior Digital Specialist (New York)

We are looking for a Senior Digital Specialist to join our growing Digital Team in either our Raleigh or New York office. The Senior Digital Specialist is responsible for providing expert advice to clients and account teams regarding the digital execution of communication campaigns and taking a lead role in the proper execution of those campaigns. Requirements:
