Neighborly represents a portfolio of companies that connect homeowners with local service professionals for various home maintenance and improvement tasks.
Neighborly partnered with G&S to amplify earned media for five brands under its portfolio – Aire Serv, Mr. Appliance, Mr. Electric, Mr. Rooter, and Precision Garage Door Service – expanding their reach in both quality and quantity.
Each brand has unique audiences, but all wanted to reach current and potential franchise owners as stakeholders, in addition to its customers.
SOLUTION
In addition to proactive outreach around editorial calendars and monthly topics, G&S used new media relations tools, monitoring multiple times daily for new opportunities. We got creative with reporter requests, suggesting new angles that incorporated our brands.
We leveraged subject-matter experts within each brand, focusing on technical experts – oftentimes owners who also are certified in their fields, like plumbers for Mr. Rooter – to give reporters perspectives other spokespeople couldn’t.
G&S increased placements by 242% between August-December 2022 and January-May 2023.
